Ministries
At Elmwood Baptist Church, our ministries are designed to serve every stage of life and help each person grow in their walk with the Lord. From children and teens to adults and seniors, we provide opportunities for worship, discipleship, service, and outreach. Whether through teaching, fellowship, outreach, or prayer, every ministry works together with one purpose in mind: strengthening families, encouraging believers, and teach the truth of God’s Word.
Adult Ministries
Adult FBT (Sunday School) Classes
When people say, “We are more than a church, we are a family,” it can sound like a slogan. At Elmwood Baptist Church, it is simply the truth. We believe church life is about more than attending a service. It is about growing together, encouraging one another, and living out God’s Word side by side.
No matter the season of life you are in, starting out as a young adult, raising a family, adjusting to an empty nest, enjoying retirement, or learning to navigate life after the loss of a spouse, we have a class designed to support and encourage you.
Here, you are not just a face in the crowd. You are welcomed, valued, and treated as part of the family.
Monthly Fellowships
God calls us to gather together regularly, not just for Sunday services or a midweek meeting, and at Elmwood Baptist Church our monthly fellowships, along with our Men’s Prayer Breakfast and Women’s Meetings, provide meaningful opportunities to build lasting friendships, grow spiritually, and experience the warmth of a church family.
Teen Ministry
As parents, you want a place where your teen can learn about God, grow in their love for Him, and be guided in truth during these very important years. We understand that desire and consider it a great responsibility. The teenage years are a crucial time for learning wisdom, forming convictions, and developing a personal walk with the Lord.
Each gathering for our teens is filled with singing, clear Bible preaching, and an atmosphere of excitement and encouragement. All activities take place in a safe, separated area designed specifically for teens, giving them a space where they can focus, ask questions, and grow alongside others their own age.
The Bible reminds us of the importance of instruction in these years. “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” Proverbs 22:6 KJV. As the world grows louder and more complex in its efforts to pull young people away from wisdom, Elmwood Baptist Church is committed to lovingly teaching God’s unchanging truth from His Word.
Our Youth Group for grades six through twelve meet during Sunday Family Bible Time at 10:45 am, following the Sunday morning worship service. They also meet on Thursday nights at 7:00 pm during Teen Time, held alongside our regular Thursday evening service. We would be honored to walk with you as your teen grows in faith, understanding, and love for the Lord.
Children's Ministries

We know that parents want a place where their children are safe, loved, and encouraged as they learn about God and build friendships. At Elmwood Baptist Church, we take that responsibility seriously and strive to create an environment where children feel welcomed, secure, and excited to learn.
NURSERY
As a mother, it is only natural to want complete peace of mind when entrusting your child to someone else’s care. We understand that concern and take it seriously. Just as we come to Christ as a child, with no deeds of our own, trusting fully in His free gift of salvation for our sin, we also believe we are called to lovingly care for and nurture our little ones in both safety and spiritual growth.
Elmwood Baptist Church offers three separate nursery areas serving children from newborns through four years old. Each area is designed with your child’s age and needs in mind and is staffed by loving, attentive workers who carefully watch over every child. Our nurseries are clean, beautifully decorated, and fully supplied to provide a calm and comforting environment.
You can enjoy the service with confidence, knowing your child is being cared for with patience, kindness, and genuine love. Our ushers will be happy to assist you in finding the nursery and answering any questions. We would be honored to care for your children while you worship with us.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH
Children’s Church is a joyful and engaging time designed just for them. Through puppets, Bible stories, uplifting music, and age appropriate Bible drills, children are taught God’s Word in a way they can understand and enjoy. A favorite part for many is the treasure box, which children may choose from for Bible drill winners, first time visitors, and birthday kids. In addition, we offer Bible classes for every age on Sunday morning, from toddlers through adults, each thoughtfully prepared to help families grow together in their faith.
On Thursday nights at 7 pm, we also offer Master Club, a well structured children’s ministry focused on helping children learn to love and serve the Lord. Using the King James Bible for memory and application, Master Club provides clear biblical teaching in a supportive and encouraging setting.
MASTER CLUB
Master Club is led by Mr. Ken Gebhart and includes classes for every age group. Beginners Club serves K4 and K5, Primaries Club is for first through third grade, and Ambassadors Club is for fourth through sixth grade. All boys and girls are warmly welcomed, and each child is cared for with patience, kindness, and genuine concern.
We would be honored to partner with you in helping your children grow in faith, confidence, and love for God.

ACADEMY
At Elmwood Baptist Academy, we proudly stand for traditional Christian values and believe that Jesus Christ must have the preeminence in all that we do. We are not simply a private school. We are a private Christian school where Christ is honored, His Word is taught, and biblical truth shapes both the heart and the mind.
Our greatest desire is to see each student develop a genuine, personal relationship with Christ. God’s Word is woven into every part of the academy, guiding our teaching, shaping moral standards, and building godly character. “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence” Colossians 1:18 KJV. This truth directs our purpose and our practice.
Alongside our spiritual focus, we strive for excellence in education. We are committed to strong academics that challenge students to do their best, think clearly, and develop a solid foundation for future success. Our goal is not only to help students achieve academically, but to teach them diligence, responsibility, and a love for learning.
While we prepare students for college and future careers, our mission reaches far beyond academics alone. We seek to instill a lifelong desire to grow spiritually and intellectually. At Elmwood Baptist Academy, education is built on a biblical foundation, strengthened by academic excellence, and focused on preparing students for a life that honors Christ.
